Regionalising Relationship Banking for Allica Bank
Brief
Allica Bank is a UK-based challenger bank that focuses on providing banking and loans services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Established in 2019, it aims to fill a gap in the market by offering tailored banking solutions for businesses, particularly those that are underserved by larger banks. The bank is known for combining digital banking with personalised customer support, ensuring businesses have the technology to manage finances efficiently while also offering expert guidance when needed. Rosely Group were hired to help get Allica Bank attention in the regional and industry trade media.
Goals
Allica could secure national business coverage easily as they are a fast growing fintech but wanted more awareness within their target customer - Established SMEs. The challenge of regional and trade media is the fact that a regional newspaper only wants to write what it’s local readers will want to hear about and a sector specific trade publication will only want to talk about their industry. We had to make Allica Bank more relevant to the regions and trades.
Solutions
We worked within two campaign ideas:
1. To develop regional and trade focused stories based on customer cases studies.
2. To develop regional news from national stories such as the interest rate divide and using data and insights to hyper-localise this data for regional publications and businesses.
Results
Allica Bank now receive regular monthly mentions across the UK regional and trade media and are reaching their target customers via more authoritative and influential publications. This includes regular news coverage in titles like The Scotsman, Oxford Times, Portsmouth Today etc as well as accounting titles, business titles and more.
“The last few years have been transformational for Allica Bank and the decision to bring in Rosely Group at this stage in our journey is an obvious one. Their network, contacts and partners are precisely what we were looking for in our consumer agency of record and they clearly understood our customer and our vision.”
